Para Todos and Baobab Onlus are two Milan associations that joined forces for a Fuorisalone 2019 event devoted to ethical fashion: young designers presented haute couture garments made from reclaimed and recycled materials, in the spirit of the circular economy.

The event
The Ethical Fashion Workshop was an important event for young designers, who were able to present to the public haute couture garments created with respect for the environment, using reclaimed or recycled material or reducing the amount of fabric used.
It was an excellent opportunity to spread a culture of respect for the environment together with fashion and design. It was organised by the Associazione Para Todos and the Associazione Baobab Onlus at Lotto 15 of the Fabbrica del Vapore on 13 and 14 April 2019, during the Fuorisalone.

«Together with another association, Baobab organised the “Ethical Fashion Workshop”, a fashion event that allowed “young” designers to present haute couture creations made from recycled and ecological material in the spirit of the circular economy, during the 2019 “Fuori Salone”. But the event was, as on so many other occasions, only the visible part of the work.
The thread of friendship and collaboration that made it possible began with our meeting with Modou Gueye and the Associazione Sunugal, who took us to the Via Farini space and introduced us to Patrizia Brusarosco, our host, who opened the doors of her history and of her workshop to us: a permanent workshop that challenges artistic innovation.
We were part of this artistic university for a fragment of our journey, but through this experience we absorbed new colours for the palette of our projects.»
